CN-PEKBLT13 – Beijing Jinshanling Great Wall Hiking Tour (Private)

You’ll head to the majestic Jinshanling Great Wall, a remarkable section originally built between 1368 and 1389 during the Ming Dynasty and later reinforced under the command of famed General Qi Jiguang around 1567–1570. Rising to an elevation of 2,100 feet, this stretch of the Wall stands 21–24 feet high and 15–18 feet wide, crafted from durable brick and stone.

Compared to more tourist-heavy sections, Jinshanling offers a peaceful and authentic experience—with far fewer crowds and stunning panoramic views. The hike covers approximately 4 hours along a scenic and moderately challenging route, passing watchtowers that each boast unique architecture and character. For those who prefer a gentler start, a cableway is available to ascend the slope—but the walk up is also quite manageable for most travelers.
